Superbowl XLVI

For the fourth time in my lifetime, the  Giants have made it to the Super Bowl.  I have seen all 46 Super Bowl games.  I did miss the 2nd half of one game in the late 1970s, however.

Anthony's 32nd Birthday

Happy Birthday Son!  January 18, 1980 was a chilly, damp and gray day in New Jersey.  I had been up late the night before rushing to St. Barnabas' Hospital in Livingston for your birth.  Alas you did not wait for  me!  By the time I arrived you had already arrived.

I called my mother collect because in those days, no one had a cell phone and no one carried that much change to feed to the pay phones either.  She was happy to hear about Anthony, but not too happy to accept a collect call.  She was further put out when she asked who you looked like.  The only resemblance I could see was to the old actor, James Cagney. I guess I should have said you looked like her!

Today is also the 6 month anniversary of my morning walks.  I am proud to say that I have not missed a day.  I may have  had a few short walks, but I have not missed a day!
